Q: How many Chinese men do you think you could defend yourself against at one time?
I ask because of a recent situation.
How it will help you, if I tell you my number? It's you against...., not posters here.
I'm going for bike ride. My bike is faster than Chinese motorbikes, what is unbelievable to them. You could see all Chinese scooter riders with their tongues outside, while I'm passing them.

Unlimited. Although chinese follow a mob mentality and will gladly stomp you if they think there will be no reprocussions. Even the slightest chance of a small jab in the face will leave 9 out of the 10 in the group watching from the sidelines and not helping their friends.

The OP needs to go shut himself in a room for a few weeks and not come out.
I suspect he is going through the " OMG, I fecking hate China, WTF am I doing here?" stage. His previous posts seem ok, but now a sudden change.
If you have been wronged, why don't you have a go at the old traditional method of getting justice: go to the Police?
If you don't feel that's an option for whatever reason, then it's probably time to get the hell out of Dodge. But a wee tip. Don't go to wherever Hulk is..... his solution to problems might not be good for you

I suppose you're right about this being a public forum. Violence is everywhere, I guess China's no different. It was just my turn. Staying in the room, although tongue in cheek, I get it. Yeah, not really feasible. This incident has made me ponder whether I need to be more proactive about my personal safety and whether or not I should carry some kind of protection. I thank God I didn't have a pocket knife on me that day, because I surely would have used it. Then, the current situation would have been a lot worse. Let me ask you, if I had only posted this specific question, would you have taken me seriously? Would you have pawned me off as being playful, such as hulk or others? Or, is it because this question is a part of a series of questions all related, that you know that something actually did happen, and that somewhat scares you. If you had to, really, if you had to defend yourself for real, then how many Mr. Scot? It's a real question. Or would you be too drunk to do anything?

I have to agree with ScotsAlan in this post.
But if you were violently attacked, next time you should carry protection. Merely brandishing a weapon in most cases is enough to get them to back off.
We went to the police before, and it was inconclusive. Some guy tried to bash my fucking skull in with a metal mace.
My honest advice is to try to avoid all confrontation. Petty revenge in this case is not worth it.

You ask if I would I be too drunk to deal with anything similar? Well. I have managed to get through the past 40 years or so without being set upon by a gang or whatever. Last time I was in a fight I was pre-teen. I have known a lot of bar room brawlers in my time and I avoid them. I don't need arsehole "friends" like that.

Interesting question, because I use this in mind to go to the gym and do martial arts classes. I always think if I get into a fight, chances are they will call 8-10 buddies and try to mob me.
I don't know how many I can take on, depends on the guys and weapons... but unarmed I think I could take on way more because Chinese tend to be quite soft and squishy lol. Armed... I don't know cause they like to bottle you from behind...
Happened to a few friends of mine and I have seen many Chinese bottle other guys.

I have been coming here since 2005, and in all that time I have only seen one physical fight. And that was recently. A western guy was kicking off, and was snowballing all the time. His targets, the Chinese, did not mob him. They tried to calm him down. The western guy escalated, threw punches etc. The Chinese guy he punched just hit him over the head with an bamboo stick. I went up and took the bamboo off the Chinese guy and found out it was an iron bar !!!!
Anyway. The western guy was out of order, He knew it the day after, and bought a few bottles of nice stuff for me to hand out to the people he had a go at.
All dusted and done. No problem. Chinese don't want physical conflict.
And this happened "in a part of town, where when you hit a red light you don't stop" ( Bruce's copyright acknowledged)
But I will say one thing. If anyone is partial to putting white powder up their nose, I would strongly suggest they don't do it here.

I have heard MANY stories and seen quite a few. Like group of three (foreigners) go to a bar, dance witht he wrong girl... 10-15 Chinese guys jump them. Guess who the bouncers hold back?
Saw two guys attack a drunk Chinese guy (all Chinese), one guy repeatedly hit him over the head with a beer bottle until it broke. Happened to fast to do anything.
Saw a group of Chinese guys beating on one guy while I was driving by in a taxi... didn't notice they were ganging on him until almost out of sight. Taxi driver wouldn't stop to help (sure he didn't care).
Heard of a foreigner getting gutted by a Triad member in Shenzhen, he was at a bar. Fight broke out beside him... Triad assumed he started shit and slashed him in the abdomen, guy died.
Could name about ten more off the top of my head. Gangs of Chinese busting in on a foreigner's apartment due to whatever reason... attacking them... sometimes successfully but usually the Chinese end up getting hurt worse.
Taxi drivers attacking foreigners because the foreigner claimed they were cheated, or because the foreigner called them something because they wouldn't pick-up the foreigner.
Been in a a scuffle with some security guards... one tried to grab my arm when I approached some mouthy clerk. I pushed him into a podium, then he called up like 8 others... started saying I punched him. I said in Chinese, "If I had punched him, do you think he would still be standing there?" I was so mad at the guy I wanted to take him and his eight buddies on... I calmed down because I knew there was a camera and it would show he tried to grab me first.
Trust me, a lot does happen. Some people just get lucky with some things. Like my flights are hardly ever delayed lol.
None, I wear special glasses that prevent me from seeing men, or maybe they need cleaning. I can only see legs or fuzz shapes.
