Depends Public schools get school holidays,training schools get usually 1 free weekend plus any National holidays Spring Festival etc on a 6 month contract

it will depend if you are employed at a school run by the Government, or a private institution.

If at a private held institution, you nwill probably get the National Holidays off, and the summer break off,

If school is run by Government, then you will get the same holidays as Government, basically from 2 to 4 weeks for Spring Festival, one or two weeks for October 1, and either half a day or a full day for a few others.  Summer breal is about 6 weeks.

International school three months and 2weeks paid.

I get off for about a month during Spring Festival, a week off for National Day (although then we had to work on the weekend), a day off for New Year's day, plus whenever classes had military training and stuff. It's all paid.

This year, I get about 6 weeks for Winter/Spring Festival, 1 week for Revolution day in October, and the other usual public holidays (remembering that some classes wil need to be 'made up'... so instead of mid-week, they move it to Saturday or Sunday - ridiculous idea!!!).

If someone signs another contract, then some places will do full (or part) pay for Summer break as well. Last time, when I did a re-sign, I was paid for July, but not August (so, basically, Summer holiday at half pay).

This, btw, at university level. The military training was done at the end of the academic year. so has no impact on us teachers.

I work for a private kindergarten and get Chinese holidays (13 days a year in total) and 20 days paid leave.

Teachers' Day in September - 1 day; National  Day Holidays - 10 Days; Mid-Autumn Festival - 2 days; Christmas Day - 1 day; Western New Year - 3 days; Spring Festival (this year) 60 days; Tomb-Sweeping Day - 1 day; Golden Week - 7 Days; one holiday in June - 1 day; summer vacation - 50 days - total 130 days.  Government school.
