Talked with co-workers in the office, and I said it's my first time loss my cellphone, they said I was lucy because many of them got stolen over 5 times.
Things stolen from me in China: 3 bicycles, 1 motor bike, 2 purses, 1 cellphone, 1 pair of leather gloves, and about 14 packages from the post office. (over a duration of 6 years)

I never lost anything in other countries~ I was always lucky.
Everyone keeps asking me how did I lost it, and my answer is if I know, I will not loos it. And still cannot figure it out how, kind of admire these thieves……
Got my cell phone stolen about 3 times, had one bike stolen and a wallet. But I try to tell myself that it could have been worst!
Whenever I go out I put on my mean face.
Been here two years, never got anything stolen.
1 ipod
2 or 3 phones (but I always buy crappy ones so it doesn't matter)
cash from my pocket in the train station.
I have to agree... sometimes these thieves are so darn nimble it's hard not to be impressed. Thank god Chinese thieves are gutless wimps who would never approach you with a knife or smashed bottle and put your life in danger, unlike parts of New York or Paris or London.
once........wallet having 1000 in cash and some other important things.
i have never been stolen. i usually stay close to my mom so no one can take me away.
You should do the same
I lost my last phone on bus and my last purse in the shoppong mall.
Now I am cautious when going out. Take care of your properties wherever you go.
True "Lost" doesn't mean "be stolen", but if u "lost" something in public place or u don't know how u "lost" it, that means "been stolen".
One of my co-workers LOST two cellphones, she knows how she lost them, then simply just fell out of her pocket, once a truck ran it over, once fell into the see…… that was real lost.
My mobile phone has been stolen twice by a taxi driver...Not lost,STOLEN and ran away.
My wife's bag was snatch and ran away.
My friend's Luggage has been stolen away by a taxi driver and ran away.
All we reported to the police but nothing was done about it because they were no where to find.Lots of picking pocket from me and my friends.
Its no one's fault,its everywhere.
Wenna7, your question is grammatically incorrect. That is the point 'mike695ca' and 'marcupton' are trying to make.
If you write 'How many times did you get stolen?' it sounds like somebody actually stole YOU (the person). So you need to rephrase it and write:
'How many times has your stuff been stolen?'
Don't lose heart, learning English is not easy, 加油!
As a foreigner my English is good enough, better than some 'Merican, and thank u I will keep on learning.
2 bicycles and a mobile phone! Also an idea was stolen from me!
HAHAHA " better than some Merican!!" Genious!!!!!! i love it
I''m a little ashamed of this, but someone actually managed to steal my iPhone...while I was listening to music.
The sound suddenly cut as the metro doors opened. I looked down in my bag and it was gone....
I honestly feel most get their things stolen because they are careless. I have never been pick pocketed because i pay attention to who is around me and what they are doing. i keep my belongings secured in certain pockets and in certain places in my bags. but i grew up in a high crime area in new jersey
Once a teenager reached into my pocket and tried to grab my wallet. We was very clumsy and slow about it so I grabbed his arm and started screaming. Then he said it was his wallet and I tried to rob him. Luckily I still keep my Canadian driver's license in there.
I have fallen for more scams than I would care to admit, embarrassingly, in my years in China, but the Chinese don't consider that stealing. Stealing = shameful, scam = clever and ethically upstanding, I guess.
But I've never been successfully robbed, in the Chinese sense
Never had a problem. I am always aware and dont carry much around with me. I act as the decoy and the Chinese misses keeps the loot.
