If you take a look around you can see a lot

Introduce three idioms for expressing your new year wishes to Chinese

The most popular one (super hot now )

1 马上有一切(mǎshàngyǒuyíqiè) wish you get everything soon in the horse year

2 马到功成(mǎdàogōngchéng)   wish you succeed very soon

3 一马当先(yìmǎdāngxiān) very brave to be the first one in front of the others , not afraid of anything

More commonly used  idioms

单枪匹马(dānqiāngpǐmǎ) mange doing sth. all by yourself indicate you are very brave

车水马龙(chēshuǐmǎlóng):crowded with people and vehicles

天马行空(tiānmǎxíngkōng) :  a powerful and unconstrained style or your ideas are very talented

快(kuài)马(mǎ)加(jiā)鞭(biān)  do/ run /ride very fast like you are riding a horse

一(yì)言(yán)既(jì)出(chū),驷(sì)马(mǎ)难(nán)追(zhuī) : once I say it , I really mean it, like a promise ,you can really count on me .

So you have any other words/idioms ?

To sum up, I wish everyone in 马(mǎ)年(nián)2014

I was born in the year of the monkey myself, but apart from picking stuff out of my butt and eating it, you wouldn't know.

I'm a dog, but my wife, parents and in-laws are all horses. Giddy up!

canuck888:

so are you 43 or 55.

A trick question is to ask what animal of the Chinese zodiac a person is and one can then guess their age pretty accurately. I always answer Bu Zhi Dao when I am asked and that way they do not know my age

Thanks, this is my year! I am excited about it but my wife does not want me to tell anyone because people will be able to figure out how old I am. LOL!

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
