I have not tried a Chinese website. I thought that people who cooked for their family would have a more authentic recipe. In general I have tried recipes online for other ethnic foods and they are usually quite different and generally, not as good. In my country that would give my country's version of what they thing it would be.

I am the one who wrote the original post.

I am looking for a recipe that has not been Americanized. I have looked on a search engine but they do not appear to be authentic. I could look on a Chinese website, but I can only read English.  I thought someone on here might know.

To get really, really authentic chow mein, you should raised yer own chicken, IMO, from authenticated Chinese egg, i.e. famous 'Chicken-Egg-Kitchen' Theory enlightened

... I use to aks my students:

"Did you know, words 'chicken' and 'kitchen' have the same letters?"

Then, I watch fingers in the classroom start moving, i.e. sorting through the letters ...

It was a foreplay for the 'Hang-man', ... but that's between us ... enlightened ... E.T.s ...  ... living on the planet Earth ...

However, it must be done orally. If you'll write it on the blackboard, they'll see it in a second ...

I can hear you interpreting @Sorrel ...

Moon is in the 'Waxing Crescent" and-o "... You-Aren't-Aware-What's-Coming ..." Phase .

Caution advized ...!

... with that much waxo ...  ... and-o harper-sharper razor blader ... ... in hand.

...mhh, repeat that ... harper-sharper-razor-blader ...

GOOD!

slspringer22:

I do not think that would work. I have heard that American chickens were taken to China and they continued to breed there and now, China has American chicken that lives in China. The same goes for pigs and pork.
I will be happy with American chicken still living in America

... see Stephen Meyer on 'who was taken from where ...'. You'll see, maybe verb 'brought' would suit better ...

I can't get a handle at this one.

Honestly, I have the same feeling at British&All with football ... They call the game foot-ball ... and then they carry the ball in hands for the .. whole day ...

... on more serious note, I was contemplating, it might work with turkey ... 'cause we can exactly pinpoint country of the specie's origin ...

Turkey can't be from Lebanon, you see what I mean ...

... ... reading this next day, I'm like "What's wrong with this guy?"

.

I'm readying when Q "Where are you from?" will pop up .

I've always had a strong suspicion, turkey could be a viable solution ...broken heart...   ...

A:https://chinabyteaching.com/teaching-english-in-china/am-i-eligible-to-teach-in-china/ 6. Age requirements There is no single nationwide age rule applied consistently across all of China. In reality, most Z Visa approvals tend to cap somewhere around the mid-50s, but how strictly this is applied varies by province and employer. Age is often more of a hiring preference than a legal rule. Kindergartens, for example, may prefer younger teachers, while international schools often view age as experience and are more flexible. Ironically, even ‘young’ and ‘older’ are subjective – some Chinese employers might deem 40 to be ‘too old’ to teach kindergartners! If you are at all concerned about age, it is best to raise this early with recruiters to avoid wasting time with the wrong job applications. At the end of the day, you should strive to find a school that appreciates your experience. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china Requirements to teach in ChinaTeaching English jobs are competitive in China, and to teach legally in China, you'll have to meet a few qualifications:English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL).Bachelor’s degreeCriminal background checkTeaching certificate: TEFL, CELTA, or teaching license from your home country.Authenticated documents: Bachelor's degrees, criminal background checks, and teaching certificates will need to be legalized and authenticated. This helps international employers recognize their authenticity. Be under the Chinese retirement age of 55 (women) or 60 (men) years old The qualifications for teaching abroad in China are strict, and teaching in China on a tourist or business visa is illegal and can lead to fines or deportation.   -- icnif77
