Q: How much, on average, can you bargain down gym prices in Beijing?

Joined a gym recently but tried to bargain down the price. The best I got was an extra 2 months for free. Is that good or should I have kept pushing for a cheaper price?

I wonder what the additional cost for this perk is going to be for a membership.

Even in the gym in works it works like buying stuff on the street. They will show you a price (even a price list, whatever), thats the start. They might have a promotion if you come with your friends and not just alone. If you then try to get cheaper or free months and are still not happy, just leave the venue. Maybe they will ask you to leave your number and will call you later to accept your price or follow you outside immediately and finally accept ur offer or reduce the price. Of course it depends in what area you live... anyway, try to figure out how much other people pay, on websites like dianping or ask a chinese friend to investigate this topic for you.
