Q: How much do taxi drivers earn every month?

Anyone have any idea how much these people make in the big cities? Or bus drivers for that matter?

For taxi drivers it's not a fixed rate thing. The more they work the higher the pay will be. For bus drivers it's fixed they will make a certain amount which is decent from what I've heard. One taxi driver claimed that he had 2 or 3 homes in Beijing so you can imagine the type of earnings they make. They could make a couple of 100 dollars a day depending on how much it is they work. I believe some of them want to drive further especially to the airport because they can make more that way.

Taxi drivers in SH earn about 5000 or if they really push themselves on working 14 hours a day, 6000. That's what they get for themselves after they give a percentage to the taxi company.

I've heard the bus drivers here earn about 3000 ? Not much... I guess that's why they are always angry looking....

I was told similar numbers in Xi'an (between 4000 and 6000). I hear they also make more doing night shifts.

Some persons ask always dumb questions, and give risible answers.  Wonder what is behind this behavior, just want points so badly ?.

Just think.  As claimed above, a couple of 100 dollars will be about 1,260 Rmb at current exchange rates.  To clear that money, after paying commission to the taxi company and gas, a taxi driver working 8 hours each day must have an average ride worth 40 Rmb every 8 to 10 minutes.  Working 12 hours each day, a ride every 11 to 13 minutes.  Now, just keep in mind that the shorter the ride, the less money involved.  A 40 Rmb ride will take at least 30 to 45 minutes.  So, NO WAY, JOSE !

The brother of a good local friend has a taxi in Guangzhou.  He works 8 to 10 hours per day, 6 days a week.  If he clears 5,000 Rmb in one month, he is very happy.  And that does not occurs often.  On slow months he is somewhere between 3500 and 4500 Rmb, on good months he might hit 5,000.    Local drivers, depending on route and years on the job, get from 2,000 to 3,000 Rmb per month.

sharren:

that's really a bad idea to be taxi driver in CN, u should know, china GDP is very inconformity with salary levels.

we have abroad students learn chinese cuisine in our cooking class like chinese pizza, fried pork bun,  and take the cooking technical back to their own country to start their own business. nowdays chinese foods are more and more popular in the world, feel free to call 15001863947 or visit http://www.81816972.com/products.asp?class=265  to know more cooking classes
