Q: How much does it cost to get a casual dress tailor made in Shanghai?
I want to get a few cute dresses made in time for the summer but have little experience with tailors in Shanghai. For a knee-length dress using regular fabric (ie. not expensive ones like silk or cashmere), how much should I pay?

It obviously depends on which tailor you choose but I would generally say try not to pay more than 300 especially of you bring your own fabric.

Wow - this went 3 weeks without a reply!!!
yeah, only a few hundred. But, depends on quality.
Take a local around the markets, and get prices from them! Otherwise, you'll get ripped (even the non-SH Chinese will get ripped off!)
