Q: How much will Valentines Day cost you?

Between flowers, dinner, and that special gift, Valentines day could cost a guy over 2,000 yuan.  How much do you plan to spend on your honey?

Baozi? Well, in America, they use pie, but I guess baozi will work too as long as they're big enough, and not too hot.

Ya, 2,000 is a lot man. I'm sure you can get it under 1,000 easily. 400 for dinner, 200 for flowers and a present for 400 is surely sufficient?! no?

My gf is in Taiwan so I'm spending nothing this year. Although I'd rather have her here than save money.

An honest message via text and shopping for a dvd of her choice won't cost me much.

A cab ride tonight to watch the lanterns disappear into the ether will be little.  Home cooked tang fan for dinner.  All up...minimal expense for what's shaping as a lovely day.

Hey, Chinese men.......don't fall into a trap!

Are you talking about the cost in terms of money, or in terms of dignity?

last year was the 5 star buffet dinner with chocolates for 500rmb, flowers are cheaper.

Nothing as my wife doesn't believe in this imported commercial bullshit! We'll go have a nice dinner somewhere for the lantern festival & as we normally eat out at weekends it will cost no more than usual.

And yes, you've guessed right that I'm not romantic when it comes to overly commercial valentines day!

I'm not wealthy. Last time I brought a gift home, it was a 33yuan neck pillow for my wife. It helps her to breastfeed comfortably, so she was very happy with it. I'm working in the city today, so I can't even be with her on Valentine's Day. But I told her I'm gonna find a gift that's hopefully as nice as the neck pillow, and she seemed happy to hear it. Glad my friend reminded me of the date today, otherwise I'd have forgotten completely!

It cost me nothing. Some UK colleagues are over so we tagged along with them for dinner and the biggest boss paid wink.

I was going to buy her a drink after, but she had to go home because the baby was sleepy.

I bought the wife a Kinder egg for Christmas a few years back and she still talks about it to her friends. When she stops talking about it I buy her another gift laugh
