Phone Delta or what ever airline that you use and ask them. Delta told me it was about $200 to fly my dog to Thailand from Canada and I felt that was low, maybe not correct.

You need to pay about 200 Euros if you fly Lufthansa from Guangzhou.

The dog needs to have rabies certificate to be allowed to enter EU, that is a shot followed by a bloodtest. This needs to be done by a certified vet, I believe Zhuhai Animal Hospital in Xiangzhou can do this. Then you also need some kind of export document, ZAH can do this as well I believe.

You should call the appropriate veterinarian authorities in your destination country, maybe there are some at the airport. The animal most likely need to be quarantined.

Scandinavian:

The price of 200 Euros was a couple of years ago, we flew with a small dog that was allowed in the cabin. Lufthansa allows that if dog + cage is less than 8Kg i total. Oh. KLM and AirFrance have decent dog policies too.

I suggest Guanzhou rather than Hong Kong to eliminate the boattrip to HKIA, it should be possible to do with a dog too, but you add a couple of hours from last possible place you can pee. You need to fly directly out of China to a European country as Chinese domestic flights have a really bad reputation for how they handle pets, and no Chinese airline allows pets in the cabin

Please read up on the specific rules. It should not be too difficult

isn't there any flights via Frankfurt, Paris or Amsterdam ? If you have a long stopover you may not be able to walk you dog. From the dogs point of view, it is most comfortable with getting it done as fast as possible.
