no one here is from chengdu, walk around the major universities meet some expats

I lived in Chengdu for a year and the nightlife is pretty good. Around Sichuan University there are many bars and clubs that are great places to meet people and hangout on the weekends. By the West gate there's Jellyfish and Paname. They are popular with expats. The same people go back each weekend so you get to know people. Also, Little Bar is a cool place and by the river there are some great Chinese bars.

Unfortunately I think maybe a handful of people on here are from Chengdu....and you probably won't want to hang out with them since they are glued to the screen most of the time. Just go to a bar and meet a regular drinking buddy and just go clubbing or bar hopping with your drinking buddy when you have time!1
