Q: How officials working for the government can have their children studying in some private schools?

Some can send their child/children in international public schools while having a state salary? Those schools' fees are generally over the RMB 6'000/month

For a country and especially a government who claims to be communist, it seems a bit contradictory, at large ironical, and farther laughing at common Chinese people!

It seems that in a country, where the emperors used to do whatever they want, modern officials may also enjoy this imperial vision of power!

Does it look like North Korea? Where high officials send their children to study abroad in very expensive schools, while the rest of the population cannot even feed itself?

Because as good government officials, and party members, they live a very frugal life, saving every penny they receive as salary for the best education for their kids.  And for buying them Ferraris, Porsche, Lamborghini, designer clothes, etc.

And then I wonder why Victoria feels 4,000 Rmb per month in Shanghai may not be enough for her.  I knew one Lady in Guangzhou who made 4,000 per month, and claimed sent her family 4500 every month.  I must go back to school and refresh my Math courses to understand all of these things..........

They have ways of multiplying their stated 100,000 RMB per year salary. To begin with they don't report all their salary that they may avoid taxes.

I can't begin to imagine all the grey money an official receives, plus gift and free things.

The tuition cost is hardly a concern for them.

Oh, and five thousand years of culture.

Actually, most officers kids attend private schools for free.  The schools look at it as yet another way of building guangxi with government officials.
