Q: How to open blocked website on Mac OSX?
Hi there, Here in my university my friends are using "FreeU" software to open youtube and facebook easily on Windows computers but I am using Mac OSX and this "FreeU" is not compatible with OSX. Is there any other free software or method available for OSX to open up blocked sites here? Please advice.
Operating system: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

Search for VPNs that work through the website. There are a lot out there for free. You can search on google.
PS. Just don't post the names here, this way they keep on working and not get banned. For example, I would avoid using the word "FreeU"

Yes, there is a way..no VPN is needed it is called SSH (tunneling) it has it's pros and cons.
but for YT perfect....Actually I use this instead of VPN.. VPN is good for sensitive information.
like sharing documents and so on..
Actually you can use this to surf all over the world. but it needs a bit of configuring.
it works on everything, Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac, Android, Symbian, Palm. dunno about the iPhone

You can use Hotspot Shield free VPN on your MAC to access blocked sites. It is available for all devices; windows, mac, iphone and android.

I used to use HotSpot Shield. Unfortunately it is currently blocked by the government here. Don't waste your money buying the Elite version because it does not work either.
hotspot doesn't work anymore, there was one click vpn from the apple store, but u got just a week and then u have to pay...
