I am trying to promote an open, business-related event in Beijing. Can you give me any idea? It's going to be free and deal with business culture of China, how to find a legal job in China and so on. What is the best way to promote it? Leaflets? Advertising? And there is the question of timing: would you rather attend event organized the working week or on weekends?
Would really appreciate any advice.

I'd go for something a little old fashioned like sky-writing. For maximum impact I'd use a Japanese Zero instead of a silly biplane. No need to bother with getting official clearance, Chinese are cool like that.
I'm going to open a bar in Guangzhou. Should I serve drinks? What kind of drinks should I serve?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Hotwater:
For the best of taste you'll need to stock up on Snow beer....warm as it's good for healthy.
And for your more discerning punters you need a 30-year Old Yamasaki or Suntory whiskey served with green tea.
Your first question might be an issue to getting answers dude:

You should know this stuff before you start to try organize events.
But good luck anyway
Color me distrustful, but you're going to get some sort of benefit from this. Therefore if you want business advice hire a consultant. That is the best advice you can get.
