Probably how you just did... explain the difference between the two. English doesn't have a different word for the two types, so you've got to say 'stevia, not aspartame'.... have you found those words?? (and then, good luck with finding people who know the difference Tongue)

Here you go:  甜菊糖

                       tián jú táng

(sweet + chrysanthenum + sugar)   Chances are nobody will know what it is and you'll have to explain it as "O calorie plant sugar"
零卡路里植物糖    or  令熱量植物唐

Maybe this:

格林甜菊糖

Try the website of a major Chinese manufacturer for greater detail.

Xinghua GL Stevia Co., Ltd.

http://www.greenbio.cn

Pose as a buyer and they might even send you free samples.  wink

Paulina, I would recommend that you simply visit an import foods market and buy some of your own to use. In my experience even at starbucks in big cities the sweetener they have is aspartame.

my girlfriend is the same way, only stevia so my last visit home I brought back some so she can always have some in her purse.

good luck finding some.

I had no problem finding stevia for my homemade veggie powder.  Even the green kind is available on taobao.  Have a Chinese person do a search for you.
