You could start in Guangdong. There are plenty of foreigners there from Africa, I've heard ...

You would also show to the world around you that you aren't racist by having a colored, different race boyfriend-o ...

I have once been asked, on the former chats, back in the 2000 "are you male or female?"

I have answered: "I'm not male nor female, I am an e-mail"

What about you?

I guess the answer may differ depending on the cultural background. For Americans, a simply "hi" would suffice. While Chinese and American 'dating' cultures do differ, American guys may be less inclined to approach a girl because of the langauge or cultural differences. We are also told that Americans are not a Chinese girls first choice (perhaps more of a necessity, especially if a Chinese girl has been divorced), so if you made the first move, we may be more inclined to reciprocate. From a personal experience, if a Chinese girl had not said hi to me, we would never have been friends. And we have been really good friends for nearly a year.

I think it's simple, you can approach the person in question. Well, I know Chinese culture doesn't favor people dating on first meeting. They may feel easy when it comes to ladies and shy when it comes to males. Language can equally be a barrier for the bold ones. Conclusion, a simple hi, and exchanging Wechats may do the trick for a start.

A: You can work only if you hold a work permit and residence permit yours
A:You can work only if you hold a work permit and residence permit yourself. The same conditions for all foreigners apply. You have a job and the company can legally employ foreigners. Work permit is tied to that company and location that you are actually working and the position matches. You can't just work in China if you hold a dependence visa or residence permit.  -- jmintzis
