Q: How to stay in China longer than Tourist Visa allows?

I will be returning to China to marry my lady. After marriage I want to stay in China for 6 months then apply for US Visa for my bride to come to US with me. What visa or permit allows me to stay in China this length of time? What must be done to obtain this permit??

If you marry a Chinese national, what type of visa you can get depends on where she is from. If she is from Shanghai or Beijing you can usually get 1 or 2 year visa without much trouble. If not, then usually a 6 month visa is the longest, but everything is subject to change in China depending on the situation and luck...

you better take her to the united states on tourist visa , then get married there.. chinese marriage law for foreigners is very complicated .
