Q: How will you white men find Chinese girlfriends?
Hey,everybody.
I find white men very attractive and very exotic,and I want to find myself a white boyfriend.I have been dressing well and hanging out a lot in western resturants,coffee shops,bars.,etc.And I think I am quite good-looking and stylist.But still I have not got much luck with white men come up to me to start a conversation.And personally I think I am a bit too shy to start a conversation with strang men who I found attractive.
So I would like to know how and where will you white men find Chinese girlfriends if you guys want Chinese girlfriends?
Also I would like to know how and where did you find your Chinese girlfriends and wivies for those who already have Chinese girlfriends or married to Chinese ladies
I would like to learn more from you guys and get myself experienced.

There are different ways to meet foreign guys but if you go to coffee shops/bars etc. and see someone you like, you have to take the initiative and go talk to him. First you should try to get eye contact and smile to him and if he smiles back I'm sure it will give you enough confidence to go over and start chatting.
Another way, if you have a shy personality, is to try online dating. There are some English language dating sites targeting the Asian "market" that you could try, but my impression is that most guys who use those sites are not really looking for a serious relationship.
Finally, the best way I can think of is to get your friends to introduce you to someone. Since they both know you and the other person there's a better chance that you'll get along. If you don't have any friends who knows foreigners you should try to expand your circle of friends, if possible. I know it's easier said than done, but give it a try

Not sure about the "Asian dating" websites as most of those seem to be there mainly to make money out of the guys.
I met my wife on www.pof.com. Its free and you can search by city, age, wants (marriage, dating, one night stand, etc). I think you can also search by ethnicity but can't remember as I've not used in since I met my wife a couple of years ago.
Beware of Americans who claim to be ex-navy seals as I'm sure most of them have never even seen the sea!
I met my gf through mutual Chinese friends as we went out to KTV in a big group. I wasn't looking for a gf at the time, but I hit it off with one girl there and we've been together since.
One tip to expand your social circle and meet foreigners is to see if your city has a Couch Surfing community. It's not a dating service by any means, but it is a good way to just meet people and make friends both foreigners and Chinese and thus meeting even more people that way. And you don't have to host or even travel to be a member.

Also, stay away from bars... sorry, but generally, the worst kind of expat hangs around those places. Find yourself a job at an English training school and you'll meet expat men. Maybe they'll be good, maybe they won't be... you'll have to decide.
Never STAY with someone just because they're exotic. Find someone who loves you, and whom you also love. It must be a mutual feeling.

I met my girlfriend at a SPR coffee shop in Zhujiang NT (downtown Guangzhou), I was having a lunch over there on a work day, I was alone, she was too at another table, we both started playing the looking game, when I was looking she stopped looking at me and otherwise, it lasted for a while then I caught her eyes, smiled and made a clear "come over here" sign, she came at my table, we started chatting about various things and immediately had a good feeling with each other, after about 45 minutes I had to go so we exchanged numbers and promised to see each other again.
2 weeks later on Saturday we had our first date, what comes next is not important, you only need to know that we are still together since 4 years.
Beware, if you go to bars to meet your boyfriend you probably won't find the same type of man that you would find in others places, of course there are also respectable guys in bars, but they are not the majority.

You could just sit near someone and say a simple ''hello, where are you from''. Don't ask if we like Chinese food or culture. I found many women would smile at me but not speak, probably because they don't speak English. I will talk to women that speak English if they don't seem to anxious.
Too bad you are shy or I'd tell you to walk up to a guy and say ''Is that an iPhone in your pocket or are you glad to see me?'' I'm sure he'd laugh.

I'll turn this question around.
I would not date a guy who only liked me because i was 'foreign' or 'exotic'
I would not date a guy who was always concerned about his looks and would compare himself with other guys who were dating foreign girls, and needed reassurance all the time.
Personality/character is more important than looks, so ethnic background is irrelevant.
While a guy might initially be attracted to a girls appearance, more often than not he will stay with her for her character unless all he wants is 'fun'.
isn't standing outside a shopping mall enough. I find that if I take the dog down to a local mall, and just sort of loiter a bit, someone will come and say "wow, what a cute dog" and it will always be someone to whom I could reply "you're cute too", but usually i will say "he bites" because if I bring home a girl, the wife will be really mad and might not cook for me that day.
Most of us are attracted by beautiful girls but attraction is one thing and building a relationship is another. The things I like in a woman are intelligence, good sense of humour, confidence in herself, independence and someone who is into me for who I am and not for what I have, and a willingness to learn and experience new things. Some of the worst traits of any woman, not just in China, is narcisism, gold digging, and immaturity. If anything is guaranteed to turn most guys off is a woman who thinks she is god's gift.

Agree, sadly many (not all fortunately) young Chinese ladies think that they are god's gifts, have their idea of the perfect man and won't ever step out of it until they find him, won't even consider other men, extremely picky, self-entitled and narcissist, wanting everything from the man without doing anything on their part, want to stop working (because it's too hard) and be a housewife once they get married but can't cook, can't clean, can't wash clothes or dishes, can't do shit, can't even raise kids and go to play majong, shop for clothing or whatever else all day long instead. Don't get me started on gold digging and short temper throwing tantrums like a 5 years old spoiled brat as soon as a very little thing does not go in their way.

If I need to find my Chinese girlfriend, I just go to the big shopping mall. Odds are if she's not working, she's already there or on her way.
When the time comes that a q visa allows the holder to work, you will have no problem finding a foreign bf.

I have already had a recruiter from Beijing tell me that some schools will let you work on a Q visa. I haven't clarified or even bothered looking into this yet.

Actually, you're the funny one, Vicky. Most Western guys prefer big bubble butts? Don't speak for Western guys, you are a Chinese girl and know very little about us. The true fact is, all men have different tastes and most guys are attracted to proportion rather than size. If the proportions and balance is good, any girl can look sexy. You shouldn't play the style doctor either. Being a designer, I know style, and a girl with small breasts can look very sexy with a low cut, tight shirt or deep v-neck tight sweater. Tight being the operative word. They can show more skin without looking slutty which is a win/win for us guys. On the other hand, tight clothes on a big breasted girl can make her look like a whore. Finally, most white men (your core market) love long legs. Short dresses and long legs go together like toast and jam.

@Ted- I've partaken many a fine dish here and I enjoy the many shapes and sizes that are on display. I can't say I have a real preference. It depends on my mood. The only thing is she must be properly proportioned. No Iggy or Nicki Minaj, if you know what I mean. I don't like hip-hop butts. I don't mind small as long as they're round and cute. Long legs are a big plus. The girl in your photo is a very good start

@ brave, I usually have trouble posting pictures, actually I also have to type very slowly on this site. You are right, I apologize for insulting your butt, some men may like a big full butt, but I don't know any.
Personally i like medium breats, medium butts but what i like most is a woman with a kind heart. I also like a woman who can speak her mind and is not too shy to speak up when necessary. I love an open mind and funny but personable. Warm. Ladies if you come off too cold hearted its a big turnoff. Don't just stare. Say something.
