How would you approach a class with true beginners and false beginners? How would youkeep the latter challenged without overwhelming the former?

Make it fun and interactive and push the boat out a bit further than you would in a first true beginner class. Pair those with more language ability together initially until the true beginners catch up; but be sure to have mixed ability group work. Leave people to do their own thing in the free practice session.

If they're kids it doesn't matter that much so long as all take part and get to show off what they know to teacher.
