I knew a married woman that had two children, but had to give one up. She asked me if I want children and told me that I should adopt if I did. She said that she would help me. Maybe ask some Chinese parents. I think seeing orphanage will break your heart and many of the children have problems.

I would have liked to have adopted that married woman. She was the cutest, nicest person that I met in China.

I would recommend reading this book first: http://www.amazon.com/China-Ghosts-Daughters-Journey-Fatherhood/dp/B002S...

If you're already in China as an expat, it may be very difficult. That's on top of the fact that it's already very difficult (but worth it!). Disabled children are easy to adopt for any age range.

Part of the reason there are so many orphan girls in China is that middle men control adoptions.  Do you have $30,000?  That is about what it cost.  Oh yeah, you can't be older than (I think) fifty!
