Q: How you think about the jobs in Shanghai?Is single a big problem for getting the job?
1,Recently I applied many jobs,well,many of them want to hire me and the salary is not that bad for me.But the problem is they require overtime working.I find most good paid jobs here are like that.
How is yours?
I don't want to put too much time on jobs.8 hours is enough.
2,Many companies ask me why I left the previously jobs,I have to lie to them cause my boyfriend is in Shanghai.The day the European manager asked me when will you get married.I said I don't kown,then he said he will let me kown latter,I think refused me.The main reason is I havn't got married.
As I know, most jobs in Shanghai don't offer housing.
You must ask for all perks from the Contract, when talking about new job.
I have never seen a Contract, which would require overtime work. Mostly, Contracts state pay rate for overtime work. But, if I am busy studying Chinese or doing anything else, I would just say I don't have time for overtime work.
Most important thing in Shanghai's Contracts is housing, by my opinion. For overtime work, you can always say: 'I am too busy!'

Yea,the contract never stated,but it is like a rule to require overtime work.Or you get fired if you don't want to,it is easy for them to find another one to replace,especially for the good paid job.That is what I have seen in Shanghai.Some companies dont want to hire me cause I havn't got married,they think I am not stable.

Nobody can demand you must work overtime! If they do, find another job.
You can easily make above avg local wages..3500k If you speak decent English. I have some friends that have a Chinese tutor. I have one friend that pays his tutor like 250 for 3 hours and another friend that pays only 70/hr. Even if you find 3hrs of work for 6 days a week that is 18 x 70 = over 5k per month. And this would be part time.

I spoke to both of my friends with tutors today. One is happy with his and the other says he does not need a tutor at this time. I will keep you posted if anybody else looking.
Are you talking about jobs or dating now?!!!!.......Seriously i did not get the meaning of this one.

I made a stupid mistake,I will be tough to pretent I have bf if I get into one of the companies I went to interviews already.
