Q: I am looking for anyone, or place into 50's rock n' roll anywhere in China.

I teach R n'R dancing and will be visiting China soon and would love to meet anyone interested in R n'R music and dancing. Smile

Well I like the music and I even have some of the records - the old 45's back home. Bill Haley, The Big Bopper, Conway Twitty, Dion, Elvis, some I can't remember. But I think finding a rock 'n' roll place that is up and going already in China is gonna be a tough ask. I think you will have to generate the interest yourself in a club or a group. The age group that might have been interested in China would all be in their 60's and would certainly have had that sort of music censored back then. The current generation are into ballads, country and western and Chinese music of the unlistenable type played loudly in supermarkets and taxis.
When you come bring your '56 Ford CustomLine with the big wings and the huge back seat. That will attract a crowd.
You know I just can't see Chinese folk jiving to that music but good luck. Keep me informed and I will definitely join the group wherever you are.
Cool
