Actually I made a post about reading bus routes. I got some really good answers. You could learn to read the chinese, bring a translator or you can get one of those translation devices. It was said that you could take a picture and get the characters and translate them. I know with apple products you can write or scribble something on the pad and it will give you a list of characters and you can find the one that you need.

Hope the advice wasn't too late as you probably have already figured out a way to get there by now. Hopefully you don't get lost but in the future be prepared and you can take my advice or not.
