May I ask where are you from? It seems you are not a native English speaker.

That's alright as long as you can speak Fluent English.but from your post,That explains why no answers .Sorry

Interviewers pay more attention to grammar and spelling on your CV ,as well as others, you must make sure there is No mistakes at all. Good luck

You have to give them all their requirements up front.

They will probably ignore if you just sent a small email saying oh I'm interested in applying for your job.

I help with recruiting at a English Training Center. If you have any type of a grammar issue in your cover letter, you will not get a call back. Once you get the call back, if they can detect any type of an accent that's not America, British, Canadian, or Australian, you're also out of luck.

Honestly, there's not a lot of requirements to get a English Teaching job. If you are confident, can speak clearly, have a little experience, you're pretty much good to go.

There are a couple of factors which can cause your problem.

1.Age

2.Colour of you skin

I have taught in Taiwan for many years and have seen these cause people not to get the job. I chose the dark skinned buy buy my boss decided to go with the young white skinned guy. There maybe other factors but I dont know much about your situation.

Good luck.

That is probably because your written English is not up to scratch.

Probably because you write like a 3rd grader.

Do you mean that he "writes a like a third grader"? In any case, your remark strikes me as slightly demeaning. Forgive me please.

crimochina:

981 native english speakers understand that 3rd is the exact same as third. (writing on an internet forum is not formal writing)

To the OP, first I would like to apologize for some of the ruder posts that you have received.  I will not comment on "third grader" comments nor will I comment on the remaining plethora or less-than-educated remarks.

It would help, however, if you were to share some things about your background, however, such as country of origin, level of education, etc., etc., prior teaching experience.  Color of skin, as some have so charmingly written, may be a hindrance, but not necessarily so, depending upon the other factors.

I look forward to reading your answer.

First your English sucks so if you misspelled as badly on your resume as you did in your post, you will not be hired as an English teacher. Second, seeing how this is a very racist country, if your skin color is black or any shade of brown, you will be passed over. Third, if you are more than 5 kilos overweight and generally unattractive, you will also be passed over.

If none of the above, then you pissed someone off in your last job and you have been blacklisted Bubba. There was a post here omewhere about two months ago, but I have no time to search for it. End of story - go back home before you starve here or become a monk and they will feed you.
