At least go to Hong Kong if you're going to get the work done around here.

I'm saying that all businessmen that I've had interactions with have one thing in common. They tell me if they ever have an emergency (medical, dental, whatever) that they are going straight for the airport, and that I'm an idiot if I don't do the exact thing.

Then again I only work in 2nd tier and smaller cities. But from looking at the dental facilities around me, I wait till I'm out of the country to even do dental checkups.

I have a very good dentist in a clinic in Shenyang. I would say the price of things are about 20% of what I would expect to pay in Australia.

My boyfriend recently got a couple of teeth replaced for about 700rmb. I dont expect that this will be a life long fix for those teeth but if you just need something to hold you over till you get home or keep some problem from getting worse then I'd say go for it.

Ask around to find a good one and then go for it!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
