Q: I plan to marry a woman from harbin how do we start a joint bank account
My future wife's name is Jun.
I want her to have my American address but I can' find a way to reach her!
I live In Milwaukee Wisconsin and I trying through the Chinese
Consulate Chicago to reach her.. They have no way to find her! Do you know how o reach her?

Yes, I know how to reach her. My friend in Chicago just started sleeping with a Chinese girl named "Jun". She told him that some creepy stalker keeps sending her money and trying to marry her and that this stalker has now resorted to starting moronic troll threads on random websites. She has a dilemma though: should she ignore the stalker or allow him to open a joint bank account so she can use his money to go to nightclubs with my friend and other foreign men that she's attracted to? Quite the predicament indeed.

* Did you meet her in real life ?
* Did you lived with her for substantial amount of time (ie. a year or more) ?
* Did you meet her family ?
If the answer to any of those questions is "no", then
* Do not marry her yet
* Do not join your bank account
It's not in the name of some tradition, it's in the name of your own security. It's not specific to China : the story of the young beautiful bride-to-be from who scams a soul looking for love. I've seen that 1st hand a few times, you don't want that.

No wechat/qq/skype/phone number/email? Call me cold and heartless if you want, but not having any contact info makes me think that MAYBE she isn't quite as into you as you think... if she loved you, she would have given you a way to contact her.

Bad idea. The joint account thing is a really bad idea. Even if you can trust her. Why? Because of all the people who will have access to her computer since all she's doing is visiting infected websites like 99% of Chinese people.
She's just using you for your money. That's the ONLY reason she's even bothering to talk to you... to make money. Here's what I'd do: Put on a big show of setting everything up for her, so you can give her money... just don't actually do it. The more official you can make it look, the better. Then disappear. Bonus points if you get to plow her first.
