Q: I think some chinese men are just insane
The male colleague told me that I do not love China because I spent my money in the US for traveling. wtf

Yep. the best he could ever hope for as far as travel goes is slapping on a yellow hat, following a flag and making sheep noises on some Chinese guided tour where he gets ripped off. It's not that he probably doesn't have the means to do it himself, he just wouldn't dare to.

Yes, he's the idiot. There are a lot of people like him in China. I like the good public transportation system and cheap price in Shanghai, but the mindset in this country drives me crazy. The dirty resturant with unorganized stuffs made me not want to eat lunch compared to all the nice clean fast food restaurants in New York.
I think I need to go back to live in New York for a while, giving myself a break.

This is the same kind of close minded dingus who would call you a traitor for being attracted to foreign men.
His is opinion doesn't matter.
Nationalism stems from insecurity, nationalist people are basically losers trying to hide their.own shortcomings under a layer of misjustified pride in one own country/folks and anger at other nations/people.
You will notice that, anywhere in the world, people who feel overly nationalistic are never the successful bunch, it's always those near the bottom of the social ladder. Trump was basically elected by America's left behind population, and Xi plays with Chinese people's deepest fears (of the unknown, or outsiders) to justify his own grasp onto power.
Nationalist people are losers, and in the end their opinion irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, they are just delaying the inevitable move of the human kind towards more unity.

You know what? After I criticized him for not minding my business to spend money in NYC, I told him it is my right to spend my own money. This loser did not apologize for what he said to me and instead just avoid to speak with me.
