Q: I think there are laws about eating the monkeys.

I think there are laws about eating the monkeys.

I'm not so sure.

They all spoke English, it was hard to understand them.

The guides I mean, not the monkeys.

The monkeys spoke Russian, naturally.

As I understand it... the monkeys with typewriters who typed "to be" at the first attempt were spared. They were assigned jobs at "China Daily".

The Monkeys who typed "2+2 =22" were sent to Wall Street.

The monkeys who spoke Russian bought super Yachts.

So, since you obviously couldn't understand the guides, did those monkeys tell you you can't eat them? One look at your Chinese face, and that's the first thing they said? That kind of racism is bad for tourism. They only need to discuss it if you drag one of them away with a wok pan or meat cleaver in the other hand.

"but coin, how can a monkey be racist? it's not of the same species."
Touche.
On the other hand, at least the monkeys don't generalize that all humans eat them.

wanna hear a funny, but true monkey story?  a long time ago I was sitting up there on top of that pyramid in Tikal, back when you could go there with nobody to bother you about it. Well, that place has a fairly large monkey (macaque?) population, and they love to sit up there and cause trouble. They are mean, sneaky, conniving, vicious, thieving little buggers in case you don't know.  Well, this one hippy chick evidently didn't know, she got up there, had her look around, reached in her backpack and got out her sandwich to enjoy. Thieving monkey snatched it right out of her hands and gave her that bared teeth hiss thing they do,,,,   lol, girl nearly had a heart-attack and busts into tears.  yeah, not funny, but still kinda funny.  well, at least she wised-up real quick!

kids, monkeys suck and better be careful around them, they'd sure eat u given the chance ~

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
