I want to get a job in China with full sponsorship. I have experience teaching, writing, and business planning in English. However, I am a software engineer and write code most of the time. I have an affinity for Chines culture, customs, and traditions. I want to live in China and immerse myself in Han society. What opportunities would allow me to immerse myself in the culture and traditions? How difficult will it be to find an opportunity like this in China? I don't mind working in a rural area.

If you have never been to China before I suggest you start by reading some of the articles (and comments) in the "Career advice" page.
to be honest, the articles themselves are somewhat biased, so you are likely to get better insight from the comments from people who have actually lived and worked there before.
Also read through the Answers section as questions similar to this have been asked quite a lot in the last few weeks.
And just apply for jobs.
personally i would not recommend working in China to anyone anymore - not given the level of coercive control that is occuring there - and it will only expand over time.
there are a lot easier countries to live and work in in the world.
good luck !

The first thing you need to do is reseach the requirements for a work visa in China. If you check ALL the boxes, then you can proceed.
Second, you need to learn about the Zero-Covid policies in regards to coming into China from the outside. You are facing around 2-3 months of Covid requirements. In addition, all costs are on your shoulders for that.
Third, decide what kind of work you really want to do, AND if you are really qualified to take a job away from a Chinese person who can do the same job you are offering.
Finally, forget what you think you know about China and come open minded. Be willing to compromise your cultural convictions. Understand that you are a guest in China, just like a guest in a friend's house. Your friend's house rules rule over your rules. Know that you will NEVER become a Hans Chinese or a citizen of China. Even when you marry a Chinese national, you actually lose some benefits that a person here on a work visa gets.
If you met the visa requirements to teach English you could probably do that (if / when the borders eventually reopen) and do freelance coding work online in your free time, I don't know much about that line of work but assume there'd be a market for it.
I doubt you'd find a coding job in China though. As Nashboroguy suggested, China would no doubt have lots of coders able to do the job.
