thank you ,im in beijing ,the capital of china.i starter to learn englinsh from 3 grade in primary school ,but i still couldn't speake fluent english. sometimes i dreamed i can talk with foreigners with fluently english ,i could be a translater. i hope this dream will come true some day.

Don't recite lists of words: this is not a good way to learn a language because:
1) you don't learn how to use them correctly in a sentence
2) Most words are not spoken on their own and they sound different in a sentence

But if i don't recite list of words.how could i understand the conversations or articles in english. will it work? if i watch English films? I like to see foreign films like Friends (六人行).But i still can't understand what they are saying clearly with no subtitles. Anyway i'll stick to my dream thank you :)

1. Listen to the speaker few times per lesson;
2. Repeat loudly after each sentence (or individual word). You can stop and start their talk. Try to match Native speaker pronunciation, and repeat till you don't pronounce similar/same as speaker on the tape. 'Loudly' is the key-word! You must HEAR yourself!;
3. Rewrite and translate the meaning of the written text in your notebook, so you will understand meaning of the conversation. Pay attention to the correct spelling, because correct writing in English is as important as pronunciation;
4. Start conversation/talk again, listen and repeat/read loudly out of your notes;
5. After you master the lesson, proceed to a new lesson and repeat all points above;
6. Always REVIEW/repeat each old lesson several times, after you mastered new lesson.

Hi Candyy. Your written English is certainly understandable, but far from perfect. Needs work before you can be a translator I think. But stick to the dream, just need practice.
I'd suggest you find some English Corner (e.g. cafe where expats come to talk with Chinese) and also look up online resources
E.g. check out http://www.weibo.com/OMGmeiyu where you can learn actual usage of phrases/words using in normal Enligsh speak (instead of the boring correct dead English that many textbooks present)

Try listen BBC news and watch English films,that helps with the listening and speaking.You might have to read a lot of English books to broaden your vocabulary.By the end your English will be dramatically improved one day.Another tip is throw yourself into English circumstances,it might be good to hang out with those native English speakers in clubs,bars,resturants,cafes.,etc.
I would have to say vacabulary is one of the key things for getting you to speak good English.Meanwhile,I would recommend you to post an ad in" CLASSIFIED " of BeingJing section,there might be somebody who is looking for language exchange as well.
