Because of Chinese medicine, and supersitition, and 'good effects' of jade on body, is a Chinese wearing jade a good sign that they are traditional?
To me the only sign will be that the person wearing it is superstitious about jade, and has the money to buy it.
My girlfriend says only old women and gold-diggers want jade, and I would consider my girlfriend to be pretty traditional as she swears by TCM and feng shui.
It's a good sign that your credit card is about to get a bashing if you travel somewhere like Yunnan!
Just because someone likes jade does not mean that they are superstitious and traditional.
You know a girl is traditional if she won't go home with you. Look for something obvious like that.
Any kind of person can like Jade, it's cool.
What is traditional? Somebody who's not interested in having an iPhone, wearing designer clothes and having a fairytale white wedding? Where are these people I've yet to meet? And if they're even considering dating a foreigner where's the traditional Chinese culture in that... ppffftttttt!

"Somebody who's not interested in having an iPhone, wearing designer clothes and having a fairytale white wedding" - if this is considered traditional, call me grandma.
Jade has been popular since beginning of history, yes because of its natural quality, it does no harm to human body , so it is valuable. Some ancient Chinese empire had jade bed, jade pillow.. their wives had jade wearing...So jade is kind of tradition thing, but wearing jade doesn't mean being traditional. Take myself as an example, I liked jade and bought two pairs of jade necklaces, the reason was I like the natural quality if it, nothing concerned about it is traditional or not, and I don't think I'm totally traditional type. A lot of girls or women crave for gold or other valuable wearing, they think it is a statement of wealth, while comparatively jade is a statement of elegance to me.
My fiancé is VERY traditional and doesn't own any jade, so... I'm going to say that it is not an indicator.
