Dial SAFEA and ask them about it! You should seek gov.'s advice before you resigned.

It is difficult to answer your Q without knowing reasons for your resignation, i.e. Contract termination.

If you resigned because of the employer's Contract disrespect, your RP shouldn't be cancelled and you could move to the new job and change RP to the new employer/sponsor with visit to PSB. You will need gov.'s help for retreiving of documents necessary for changing of employer (Release letter).

If your Contract was terminated by your employer, your RP will be cancelled and you will be granted very short extension (some 7-days) for exit of China.

If you resigned without employer's Contract disrespect, i. e. by your free will, you will also get very short extension for the exit.
