Q: If you could change one thing about China, what would it be?
If you could just change one thing to make your living conditions and your experience here more worthwhile and interesting, what would it be?
Tempted as I am to make it about the spitting, I guess I'd change the pathological need to lie all the bloody time.
I'd become Emporer. I've never died I want to be one. No one is living in the palace any way,,, add a really big screen, killer sound system, barbecue and hottub,, the place would be great. I don't even need a salary. Just give me the 300 wives ( I want to pick)

I would change the understanding of the principles of basic science and logic. At least then I would be able to enter an argument or debate and if I lose know that it was at least partly because the other side contributed a rebuttal based on evidence rather than doctrine.
All of the above, and many more 
And please do nlot get me wrong, I have accepted China as it is, with goods and bads, but if given a chance, I would change many things, like corruption, spitting, polluting, etc.
I would like to change to not being a target everyday for rip-offs.
It's like they see me coming from a distance and they start to think...oh look, a loawai we can cheat.
My girlfriend never wants me to go shopping with her because they always want much more money when I am with her...and thats in Hong Kong and she is Philipino....it was much worse with my ex shopping in China.
I would change the visa policy,being tied to one company.Once you have your FEC you should be able to work anyplace in your area of knowledge.

I would have to get rid of that strange noise they make before spitting. I cannot explain why,,,, but it justs Makes My Skin Crawl !! yuck 
To many to add but the one thing I would change would be the pushing.
We all have a place to go but pushing to get into a elevator, pushing in line at the airports or take away place, pushing past you to get a taxi. Wait your turn and be patient.
Agree with all of the above. I would add the need Chinese people seem to have of always pointing out that the way you do things just isn't right and that "we in China do it THIS way".
If I wanted your opinion I would have asked for it...but I didn't...
I would stop the intolerance of my racism, joking aside just the intolerance and general ignorance.
I would change the driving behavior. I think they have the laws in place but no enforcement. My hometown had annoyingly anal cops that would pull you over for anything, but I miss that. Here people just do as they please on the road
universities and its education system............... nothing else need to change, everything will change by itself.
All of the above, but really, the ONE thing that really needs to be improved above all, the freaking LOGIC. It would solve so many problems if they could fit the triangular block in the triangular hole.

OMG..one thing..girl, that's IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!! Let's roll with these..just as others have pointed out.
1. Be more respectful to foreign expats!
2. Be more understanding and open-minded to foreign expats.
3. Drop the love-hate relationship.
4. Learn some manners.
5. Stop being such idiotic,childish and arrogant P****S!!!!
6. Drive more safely.
7. Stop being so selfish and inconsiderate.
8. Drop the 'playing the victim'..'point the finger' b.s.
9. Start adhering to W.T.O. rules!
10. Stop causing problems for your Asian neighbors.
One thing? Hmm, abolish corruption. Most other things would follow from that.
But if I'm being selfish, then some kind of 'green card' immigration system that doesn't require $1,000,000 plus!
