It was an accident, I was about to do my thing when the banknote slipped from my back pocket.
For the record, I just “flushed it” and register the expense as: “toilet paper”.
You know what? Whatever's in your wallet may have been dropped into worse things than the toilet bowl. It's just that you didn't get to see it. Some of the notes appear to have gone through some animal's digestive tracts. Come to think of it, should we handle all our RMB with gloves? That's some thought huh?
I call troll,,, if you were ''about to'' , then the water was clean and money floats. If it was after I would have left it for you.
Scandinavian:
so if you drop a note while dropping something else, you would not flush out of politeness to whoever comes next that they may prefer to find more than just your left-behinds
why not, the previous guy holding it did, do you think you're better than him ?
It's worth remembering that there are people in this country who have less than 50RMB to spend per month, there is a reason why there is such a thing as the Fen coins, if you get far enough out in the country side the economy works differently
When I see some of the people that handle cash in China, I would worry more about the hygienic state of notes in general circulation.
I would never tell. But some FTs in Sichuan get paid so low I they might say "yes". personally money is dirty anyway. The same question could be asked for any denomination. What would the cost vs benefit be?
If it's a public toilet, I will offer it to the janitor. It's up to her if she wants to recover it or not. Take it or leave it.
Logically, we should be thinking this in relation to the cooks in this country and what they do... handling money is one thing, what they cook for you is another.
Personally, no. But my pay is better than most.
