Where are you with your bitcoin charts and graphs Icnif?

icnif77:

I know, OP saw ZeroHedge's survey at the 'Dancer-of-the-Day' ....

Point of their survey was 'many people would choose Bitcoin and they're convinced price will appreciate in years to come'.

First thought I had when I read this thread was 'Mind your business!' and 'Did you ever find more than a single coin abandoned on the floor?'

All chart displays are in real-time, which is impossible to c&p.

Reserve managers in these countries diversify currency holdings into yuan at the cost of USD in particular, but also the euro as China maintains a stable, high value for its currency. As with other CNY-based commodity futures launched over the past few years (especially in metals), the oil contract becomes a raging success.

The introduction of the petro-yuan sees CNY appreciate more than 10% versus the dollar, taking the USDCNY rate below 6.0 for the first time ever.

i.e. 'I told you so!', few years ago at some thread here about 'US$ and Reserve currency status/replacement ...'

If I had $450 million to plunk down on something, I’d own a part of a sports team as I think you get a lot more attention and perks from owning part of a sports team than a piece of art.

Art is money laundering.

Not all the time, but often enough.

Yes, I have no proof. I am little more than a heckler. But look at the quality of the art. Then look at the price. Plus, we have means, motive and opportunity. Now we "just" need proof. Has anyone looked into that?

What does it mean 'highly doubt'? Is that just your guess or some 'official' statement?

See 'Hyman Roth's' thread and 'BTC move from USD 18000 to 19000 in 3 minutes time' two days ago! The move happened two days ago ....

Nobody, I mean 'nobody' can predict the value of BTC .... See ZeroHedge for more ... This one is good:

If only I can find a good location where the internet speeds are good and an area that can accommodate Four or more people to get started, i will organize a Trading group and use and distribute the funds into trading different instruments, to generate a gain of a Million RMB per year and pay good wages to those who stay in and trade. The investor of the seed money will recover his capital in a couple of years.

This trading is for FIVE good days of the week and they also get TWO days off. But it does involves shift work..

Hope I will get an opportunity to do the same. It will become contagious. You will see trading rooms popping up all over China.

FF.

I know a few traders Freddie. The middle eastern traders seem to be doing well at the moment with the continuous cycle of rebuild, rebomb. Trading is not so easy to the west these days. Workers stealing customers, Alibaba and all that. More and more manufacturers are dealing direct with western distributers, and the alibaba shift into the west will make it worse. I think the new start traders are finished now. Unless you have rock solid customers who wont try to cheat you.

Start KFC or Macdonald's outlet

Stiggs:

I doubt one million would be anywhere close to enough, but a macca's or KFC would be a great investment in China.

i have and cant do shit with it.

cant even buy a concrete prison in shanghai with it.

too few to live, too much too die.

good times yo.

I invested most money in my home country as I do not see any investments in china worthwhile.

Housing is too risky for me here and stocks need too much input.

So either you can open a business (small) or invest it abroad.

Unfortunately 1 M RMB is too few to open a hotel, restaurant, mcd or whatever

Become a partner in a dive shop in the Philippines.

diverdude1:

My dream too!  Nice little resort type place up around El Nido on Palawan. Geared towards the Backpacker/Adventure Traveller. Beach-front Hostel, Pub, Cafe, Dive Shop, Kayaks, Tours........

Well if you ever do it, let me know, I'd love to go stay there.

That's exactly the sort of place I like to go to. Clean, clear water with some nice reefs to dive on, a good beach, quiet and away from the tourist hotspots so not too many people there.

And no f*****g  tour groups screaming at each other, taking selfies and wrecking  the vibe.

Yeah, well...  Unfortunately, wouldn't be able to get away from the throngs of vacationing locusts. Where I've been going for years is now so infused with mainlanders that my regular dive shop is now tri-lingual. English, Tagalog, and Locust.

ya,,, can't hardly say El Nido is off the beaten path.  But wherever resorts show up, infrastructure shows up too.  pretty much anyway.  Tourists desire consumables and some degree of infrastructure (electricity, running h20, internet,...)

First time I was in Puerta Princessa, only been twice, I was planning to head to the south of the island.  some kind of officials there wouldn't let me get on the local bus/van thing headed down south.. Said it was too dangerous down there for a gringo.  so, everyone goes up North it seems.....

I wanted (still want to) try to get some of the best wildlife shots of the Saltwater Crocs in their natural environment doing their thing.   Guy who gets some premium snaps of them is damn near guaranteed published in National Geographic.    Besides, I just wanted to be down there anyway with the locals bringing me out at night.  crocs like the night....
