Q: If you had your actual knowledge about life in China before moving in here, would you still come?
Imagine that x years ago when you were still living in your homeland you had your present knowledge of the life in China, would you still consider coming here?

Home is where I hang my hat. My hat, hanging on a hook, has no understanding of where the hook is. My hat can be a sun hat or a warm hat. I can have as many hats as I like, to hang on as many hooks as I can.
And no fucker should be able to tell anyone you can't hang your hat here.

and my only 'imagination' is based on facts from the real life.
Me and my cat are almost the same ......We always 'come' ...!
Experience can only be gained one way. The knowledge you gain from experience can not be read in a book, the people you meet, have dinner with, grow to love can not be learned from playing on your phone.
When will Chinese learn to think like people.
If I knew what China was like before I came here I would not have come to China.
I came here thinking it was going to be like Taiwan boy was I wrong.
Im still here after 16 years,I have a Chinese wife and a 3 year old boy now.
Ok, my serious answer. I had 5 years of business trips here before being asked to transfer full time. So I think I saw enough to make an informed decision. There are things that still get on my tits but it's small stuff and I don't regret my choice.
Definitely I would still come. I ve met so many people and got lots of exp here:D

I haven't had it too bad (especially compared to many others who get shafted).
As Hotwater said - there are things that get on my tits, but it's relatively small stuff.
Would I prefer to be elsewhere? Sure! But a) I'm lazy (and China lets me be lazy), and b) I have opportunities here that I won't have elsewhere in the world (ironically, mostly because the locals are lazy and because of all the things that get on my tits! 
)
