Q: If you were 18 again and living in China what would you do?

Have you seen that movie 18 again? With George Burns? It was his 81st birthday and his guests asked him to make a wish so he wished he was 18 again.  His grandson and him had a car accident and they swapped places. When they woke up he was in his grandson's body. What he use to be good at his grandson wasn't such as being the fastest runner on the track team, dancing etc,.

If you were 18 again what would you be doing?

Well, considering that there isn't much you can do when you're 18...if I was stuck in China, I'd probably be unhappy. That would mean I'd either be in high school, or in college, neither of which sound pleasant. I wouldn't be able to work as an English teacher at any reputable place because I wouldn't be old enough to have a degree. Maybe I could have fun with friends, but I'd probably be too busy studying to do much. Honestly, there isn't much that's great about being 18. If I could be 22 again, no problem, but then again, that was only a year ago for me. Tongue

I would run away from there and go for a nice trip in Japan or in Thailand.

Join the merchant marines, get a degree in ship design, then retire the merchant marines and make a ton of money building ships for international companies.

Get home, I was about to discover that on any day, I could have a different date by noon everyday. Then years later I made the mistake of transferring to the country and buying a house.

If i was 18 again, I would do all the things i'm afraid to do today and wasn't afraid of at that age. Namely : roller coasters, drop everything to travel for a year around the world, bungge jumping, etc...

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
