First people were pressuring me to get QQ, then WeChat and now Momo. Momo is kind of cool since you can see who is near you but other than that it seems like just another IM program. Is it the next big thing?

WeChat has the "nearby" feature as well. Momo seems to be censoring perveted language where WeChat will let it fly (at least until you get picked up by the police and your WeChat log is used as evidence against you in an unfair trail)
Momo has the power of being a great social tool to meet people near you. It is mainly used by single people. It also has the power to ruin you. Don't use it if you have a gf she can track your distance.

About the gf (or anyone else) stalking you....

Also as far as I know Momo is only available in Chinese, WeChat is available in many languages.

Both Chinese and English versions of Momo are available for download on iTunes. The English version doesn't allow for group chats, however.

I have an Android. When I tried it out several months back there was no English version for Android.
It seems to be pretty popular among young, single people. It's also popular for ktv girls and hookers. I've gotten more than a few solicitations on Momo, whereas I've never gotten anything like that on WeChat.
Hulk:
You've never gotten anything like that on WeChat? lol. Maybe that's because you're a girl?
cooter:
I'm guessing it's because I'm in a super small town. Also, the "Look Around" feature on WeChat is not enabled by default, whereas others can find you easily by default on Momo....although you can make yourself "invisible" if you like.
