There are Indian restaurants here if that's what you mean. I don't know how authentic they are but I really enjoy my local. If you mean are there Indian spices etc for cooking.. yes there are. The availability of both the restaurants and spices will probably depend on where you will be living and exactly what it is you are looking for.

In 1st or 2nd tiers cities, you can find a few Indians restaurant. I don't know if tastes like food from India, and it is much more expensive than local food. Eating vegetarian is easy if you can speak some mandarin to explain what you would like to eat. People often don't understand that "no meat" means zero meat, so don't be too shocked to see a bit of meat in a "no meat" dish.

I am sorry to be the one to tell you Mr psravanti1, but there are no indians in China nor is there any indian food in China. There is however, unfettered access to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and all Google services.

mArtiAn:

Of course there are Indians in China, and Indian food. The Indian food i've had here's been crap though.

There's a really good Indian restaurant In Wuchang, Wuhan, Hubei. It is owned and staffed by Indians. That's South Asian not Native American, and NO I 'm not being racist.

Sure there's good Indian food around China. Just don't get a doggy bag after eating there I did that one time and it looked like a colostomy bag.

There are Pakistani, Indian, and some other South Asian restaurants near my city. Keqiao that is part of Shaoxing in Zhejiang has a large amount of South Asians in China due to the garment and textile industries. The staff of most of the restaurants are from those countries. Of course they are going to make it to match styles of people here, but I was lucky and had a friend who is from Goa and he can get them to make it more traditional style.

3 that I can count in Chengdu. You have to make sure that the INDIAN chefs are working on the days that you go, though. Otherwise, it will suck. Chinese have no clue how to make food from other cultures.

I know a few in Shanghai. And I'm sure you can pick up the ingredients too. I've seen Masala paste and what not.

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
