Q: innovation or imitation ?

We all know China can copy things . however there is a increasing conversation that China branded things are innovative.
Can anyone name something that they are talking about? or is it just a face thing again?

They seem to have perfected having human beings live without the brain organ.  That's a noteworthy innovation right there!

In case anyone is wondering, I took the photo myself, and there is a perfectly good sidewalk there.  And in case you were wondering the other thing, this is a totally common occurrence.  Shandong province.

The C919. PRC's first home-grown commercial airliner. Scheduled for maiden flight sometime soon. Claiming innovation, but I read that they just ripped-off Boeing.   Anyway, gotta start somewhere,,,  the big question is:   Would you fly it?

philbravery:

we are talking about the same people that believe 2 objects can occupie the same time and space. And you think they understand Gravity .? lol

haha,,,  just noticing the build quality of all the structures I see daily makes me wonder,,,,  like the footprints thru the freshly poured concrete.  I understand anyone can make a mistake,,, but seriously, the build quality in my supposedly high-end apartment complex makes me think twice about boarding that C919.   I'm a nervous flyer anyway,,  haha :p

There was that bus that ran over the cars on the streets... you know, the project that seems to have been shelved as a failure...

philbravery:

only because it keeps the automotive manufacturering business going if buses just keep running over cars in the conventional manner

5 years ago my state was happy was bragging how proud they were of starting through joint effort to maufacture boeing aircraft in china of how many jobs created as in more business in my state that is called air capitol of the world. i said then just wait and china would find a way to copy a boeing aircraft in a sneaky way on the sly and now china has a way to compete against boeing eventually. Maybe this is the start

@cub - yep, that's what I think happened too.  China is infamous for stealing technology.
