Q: Is International Mail/parcel Delivery of Prescription Medication Allowed Into China?

Personal use. Common prescription medication. Readily avaiable

in most pharmacies in the West.

You can ask China Post, but I highly doubt it. In addition, from personal experience and from friends, international mail ingoing and outgoing can be delayed up to three months (if not a bit longer)

I don't know but if I was on medication I wouldn't be happy about relying on China Post for it.

icnif77:

It isn't about the Post service, but it'a all about Customs Admin.

I know, Turkish Customs Admin. is PIA for all imported medications 'cause they protect domestic Pharma brands ...

Most of the western pharmaceutical brands are prohibited to import to Turkey, no different than import of controlled substances.

The international postage brands are all aware of that and you'll be advised right away of the prohibition and if you'll have a parcel sent by the private individual, it will be opened by Customs at the entry and returned to the sender ...

One should look at the country's Customs regulations ...

I purchased online wallet made out of the crocs hive few months ago from the HK's retailer. When it arrived to EU Customs, it was returned to the sender 'cause in EU we don't have too many gators left and gators are classed as an endangered, protected species ... EU Customs official statement!

..or per Wikipedia: "Antarctica and Europe are the only continents without native species of crocodile.".

Can't beat the EU Customs, though ...

China Post have sticky fingers.
Items (even those posted within China) disappeared (even when tracked) from packages.

We are not talking about anything controversial or banned, butordianry everyday items.

Or you could just walk down to the local Chinese Chemist (Drug Store) to buy the  prescription medication that you need. It may not look the same but it does the same job as if it was made in the west

Most of what it look it was made in the west, it came out of China ... as it's very difficult to beat the cheapest producer, he he
