Geo-blocking has become a "thing". Must be a way to make more money from subscriptions.

Ironically, one of my friends told me that he needs a vpn for youku in Oz. Raises the question....why would you choose youku over youtooobeee?

Shining_brow:

Because Youku doesn't care about copyright - and Youtube does.

Bigger question would be - why bother streaming, when it's so much easier to torrent??

iWolf:

Although I pay for 100M the actual speed seldom surpasses 40M (at 4am) so I torrent everything. Buffering blows. And torrents have a MUCH larger menu.

I'm not into the streaming, but I'd say two world's poles West vs. China, Russia are antagonizing against each other, firstly economically and further.

I'm guessing, they asked for monies from China for the streaming rights, and 'negotiating-price-of-cup-of-cold-water' said 'meiyou', so they blocked everything, as iWolf said above. In Vlad-istan, I'd say they don't care much for streaming from the West.

Even us, Western posters look at China as mostly 'wrong' and rarely 'right'. However, I think China will soon (10-20y) became country, who'll be setting the rules (if no WW) around the globe.

Chinese are in the winning position IMO, because of the sheer size. Determination is another reason, lastly that long history is telling me ....... West doesn't stand a chance.

Only thing I don't get it is TCM, but I think once Chinese master Western medicine, they'll just incorporate it into TCM and keep the same-different-than-you name.

We see it as they should just say 'no' to TCM and adopt proven Western healing way, but it won't happened that way.

I am following how cannabis get turned into pills (mastards, they just make money) and what not in West.

Watch when Chinamen 'put the foot down' on cannabis ....

It's an authentic Chinese plant. They just have laws against it from Mao's time.

We never talk about weed here.

I'll open new thread about cannabutter with some c&p articles.
