Q: Internet forums - video and audio

Do you think we'll have them as a popular thing like current forums where you just write? If so, when?

Will they be as popular as written forums?

Would it become mandatory in a future?? (consider - paedophiles - a) not a good idea for the little kids to be on the forums, however b) a lot frikken harder for said paedo to disguise themselves!) I'm also thinking would countries like China make video forums mandatory over text based, similar to how we're all supposed to register on forums using real ID now. Can't say your account was hacked if it's your face up there saying those words!

How would search engines handle it?

And, most importantly of all (after seeing mArtiAn's effeminate wave and cooee) - how would it change the face (pun intended... perhaps in multiple ways!) of such forums as these?

I only come on here five minutes at a time usually, so that'd be when I'm having a ciggy or taking a dump. I don't think anyone wants to see that face.

I can't see it catching on. One major drawback would be the noise issue. For example I'm sitting here writing this at work. Just quietly tapping away on my computer nobody is any the wiser, but if I started talking and watching videos it wouldn't go down to well. Also, who can be bothered making themselves look semi-presentable every time they go on the internet? I certainly can't. Most of the time I post on here I'm in no fit state to be seen at all.

Regarding it being made mandatory, I don't think they need to. I'm pretty sure they already know who we are, or could easily find out if they wanted to.

An example of something similar is the wechat voice function. I don't know about anybody else, but it gives me pangs of anger every time someone sends a voice message. There are a few situations where it is useful, but most of the time it's just annoying. I feel like video or audio forums would be the same.

So I can see them maybe getting a small niche following, but not really taking off. I'm no tech expert, but the technology to do this must already exist. If they were going to take off surely they would have done already?

i would say that nobody wants to see fat beer bellied old men discussing anything on a video, but im still amazed that people watch fat old men play in poker tournaments on television and have the nerve to call this a sport on espn.

so my intuitive mind is not what it once was for picking new trends, but at least it still works for business investments, shorting oil stocks has been great this year, but these are one time shows and then gone.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
