Q: internet grocery shopping in China, quite the experience
so... I placed an order .... about 600RMB ... all is well.....this is the second time I have done this.
so, I expect a phone call from the delivery guy tomorrow or the next day.... no hurry.
instead I have been getting a constant barrage of phone calls and e-mails, asking questions about my order. we don't have this, would this be OK? would you like some sweet pickles. is this cheese really good? can you speak Chinese?
we have no good sausage. not just one person calling or e-mailing ..3 of them.
I am confident it will all be good.... just the route to get there is pretty different.
last time there was no delivery charge... see if that happens again... on the site... nogogo.cn they charge the locals for delivery .... I am blessed, I think.
I am about 6 hours driving time in little traffic from Shenzhen.
Did you order a lot of "Mei you"?
I would be wary of ordering food online, but good luck with it

I use Taobao for my international food purchases. I seldom have any problems. I place an order nearly every month.

@BHGAL: thanks for the nogogo! I've done all my import shopping through taobao but I think I've just hit a goldmine.
Having a Chinese wife scouring the internet, on the lookout for quality discounts, makes the experience much easier.
So where do you live exactly? Do they deliver in other cities around SZ and GZ?

I live in zhanjiang... a long way from their published delivery places... but it is not a problem, so far anyways

I live in Foshan, my home is like a 15 min drive from GZ proper, it shouldn't be a problem for them to deliver here. Scots hehe why not, sounds like a good idea!

I live GZ -DG border. Just off the SZ GZ highway. Makes sense if we share delivery. I pay from sz to here, you pay from here to there. I am halfway.

I can only get Indonesian Halal corned beef in GZ at the moment. Too fatty.

Oh well Scots in fact you are opposite from me, my home is in Nanhai district of Foshan near Qiandeng Lake, I can drive to Yuexiu in like 15 mins with good traffic.
I used nogogo many times a few years ago when I was living in Bao'an. always worked out well, I hope they are still keeping it together. expensive, yes, but no getting around that here.
*I'm way surprised u didn't get a delivery charge. maybe some sort of promotion going on? I drastically slowed down my ordering just because their delivery fee to Longgang is so high (rightfully so imo).
you guys will love this ... the grocery girl... added me to we chat....I accepted....she asks my height weight and age and country of origin...... sends me digital flowers ... ..all I wanna know is if the order is shipped and what the total bill will be.
and again...no delivery charge ... over 600rmb .. maybe...I do not know.... they are not charging me for delivery......maybe a hope for expanding the market....I do not know.
COD is how I do this.... but even still, you never know what is in the delivery box, and I am not the kind of guy that will inspect before paying. trusting soul that I am.

I've usually seen a "order of XXX RMB and delivery is free" - 600 would be about right.
Haha. I always buy Gouda cheese and Belgian and German beer on taobao...Much cheaper than Metro or other places in town. 
update: I got my delivery and it was all good.... meat and cheese well insulated and ICED, really worked out well. NO DELIVERY CHARGE. 669RMB .... pickles and flavored instant noodle things kind of made up the rest of the order.
Tmall, Jingdong, Yihaodian, Taobao.. stick to the bigger sites instead of some obscure one.
