Q: Iphone SIM card question?
I saw an unanswered question, tapped in a reply, and it vanished. Both question and answer.
Maybe I am having a brain burst.
Anyway, the question I answered was about iphone 6 compatability with different suppliers SIM cards.

I blame MS Edge.
If it’s an iPhone 6 bought in China then it should work on any carrier here. Unless bought specifically from a China Mobile store.

I recall people having to change from China Mobile to China Unicom when the IPhone 6 first came out. Something to do with the 4g being different between the service suppliers.
So an original IPhone 6 might need a china Unicom sim card.
I dont think your phone is locked, its just looking for a differnt 4g protocol.
Why would anyone use China Mobile?
Unicom rocks.

hey thanks scotsalan for answering me. i figured i was being lazy and did not do enough research so i deleted the question. i should have gone to the shop first before asking, which i'm going to do now
is there anything i can do to make it work? i've got a feeling it'll be forever useless.
i ve got a 6s which i bought two years ago. regretfully i bought the 16g which is completely useless. i saw a used iphone6 128g for sale so i bought it. if anybody is looking for an older iphone do not get the iphone 6s

i went to to the shop to find out. cannot use my telecom sim card with a phone that had previously been used on the china mobile network. the reasons are the same as scotsalan states.
