Q: Isn't it sad when a woman has used too much skin whitener & doesn't realize?
Luckily I've seen fewer freaky ayis with Michael Jackeson-esque skin tones recently but still, I shrug every time I see women here with those artificially white faces. They look so bad and unnatural, a tan would honestly make them look so much better. Do they honestly think they look better having artificially white skin? Are men really into that kind of shit?
Quite, though I personally find the eye makeup, fake lashes and contacts more repellent - It just screams "shallow and manipulative".
Chinese celebrities all overdo the whitening as well, from which I would conclude that Chinese people really are into that sh*t.

chemical burn marks on the skin, mustache, it is just plain ugly. have you ever seen a student come back from the winter break dramatically whiter? china and it's stone age mentality.
Even a little bit is too much. Natural color is always better.
See, that is what I tell my wife, honey, I told you while your arms, legs, hands, and neck are tan your not fooling anyone with the milk white face. As skinny and white as they want to be, it makes me think they basically want to look DEAD
I don't see why, I think I look like a naked chicken if I loose all my tan in the winter.
Not just artificial white face, but also artificial breast, nose, etc. It's freak, not beauty. I always stay away from them.
It is sad. They will realize this when their skin is damaged after a few years.
Ugh. I dislike seeing people who abuse skin whitener, but vitiligo seems really common here... so they might be using it for that reason.
What I dislike is when people dye their hair blonde/red, and have full-on white skin. They look like someone with albinism, and they don't even have that.
as a foreigner, tanned skin looks healthier.
unfortuantly my skin burns if exposed to too much sunlight.

As a Chinese woman,I am so happy with my skin color.I have never been a fan of skin whitening. It's pretty cool to wear sunglasses or a hat to go out in summer.
but sometimes ,I am in trouble when it rains in summer,No umbrella with me LOL
People of white skin tone likes tanned look whereas dark complexion people run for fairer look. Hence the use of skin whitener is a rage among dark complexion people. But sometime they overdo it which looks really fake. So one must know the amount of facial products to use in order to avoid bad looks.
