Q: Is it allowed to bring my bike into Shanghai Metro?

I have never seen people brought their bikes into the subway.

(In paid areas of the subway and inside the train)

So can I do this?

Thanks

If you didn't see anybody is bringing wheels to subway, probably is not allowed!

BuTT.., if you really have need to travel on subway with bike, just go ahead. If they'll try to tell you something, just say: 'No ming bai', and proceed.

I guess, they'll let you do it, 'cause 'laowai status'.

I think that if you can't put it through the x ray machine then you probably can't take it on the subway.

No, it is forbidden or everyone would do it. They just outlawed it in Nanjing, it was outlawed in Shanghai in 2006.
