Q: Is it the designer's fault?
I told him around May 1 that i will need to get my name card printed before May 10 because I will meet a customer at that time. I ask him to finish the name card design before 10. He said alright he can design. I took it as an agreement.
I have been asking him to caculete the name card and website design final price so I can pay him. I asked about May 1, I have been keeping waitting till May 8, just did not receive the final quote. I then said to him that he should have told me earlier that he could not make it and saying he's putting damage to my business. He then blamed on me for being unlogical and said he never agreed to complete name card design before May 10.
I then cancelled the name card and website design project with him and deleted him. His mother had accident and broke legs, I am sorry for that happened but he should've told me the accident instead of keep delaying wihtout telling me the reason. He always told me that he would give me the final quote today or tomorrow but just never sent to me, keep giving the empty promise.
I really do not like his attitude and I deleted him from wechat, I have known him for about 4 years now. He seem not able to realize his own communication problem and just think that clients should know what he was tryng to say. When he said he could design and did not mention that he can not finish design before May 10, of course I will take it as an agreement. What do you think? Is it his fault?

So you, the business genius, go to a direct competitor who has no experience in what you want him to do. What could possibly go wrong with that, but of course you went to him because he was CHEAP. The second designer let you down so now you are considering going back to the first one and offering to teach your competitor the skills necessary to do the job. Why for fucks sake do you even think that is a good idea. If you are capable of “leading” him why do you not do it yourself. Just in case you, the business genius, have not figured out why one charges 12k instead of 40k is because he is crap and does not fully understand what he is doing. But then you are so cheap you probably do not care.

My goodness, they are cheap because they do most of the jobs by themselves, if you give the job to a design company, they will get several designers to do my site together and the cost will be raised. Also they use the existing design frame instead of designing a new site for me from the scartch. Sure I can do myself but the site won't come up so great looking, there are some techniques involved.Good concept isn't enough for building a site, because I'm smart, I aware that I can't do. We have to admit, we are business people, not some coding genius. Just leave the job to somesone who is good at doing. I pretty much write and draw my design concept on the word file for the designer to follow. They will deal the techniques mostly.
