Q: Is it easy to fly from Beijing to Dalian?

Travel arrangements will be made, but I was wondering whether it's easy to catch a domestic flight from Beijing to Dalian - language issues, finding check-in counters, etc.

It is very simple.  All of the signs are in Chinese & English.  Also, most of the counter agents speak at least a little English.  You won't have any problems other than being ran over by little old women and roving herds of tour groups.

Haaikie, there is also super-fast D and G train service between the two cities.  You are arriving in winter I think and train travel is often more reliable than in-country plane travel during the winter months.  The Beijing train stations are a long but easy ride on the subway from Beijiing Airport.  If your future employer is paying for the flight, then by all means take it.  If you are paying for the flight, then you might wish to consider the train but honestly the D train is just incrementally cheaper than the plane.

I don't like fuss, so I think I'll just take the flight.  Might do the adventurous thing later ...
