I assume that in bigger cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou it might be a problem. Small cities usually don't bother about such things. I've got a Filipino friend who just renewed his RP without any problem. I guess that if the conflict between countries go further then it will seriously become an issue. So far, I've heard nothing of that sort.

Unfortunately this is what it appears to be. China would never miss a chance to show its almighty, whatever that is and harass people's lives when it comes to diplomatic issues. The ongoing events that keep against the strings Philippines over  some islands and other issues should lead to making access to China even more difficult for Philippine people. 

It's not right, but that's all about China and that's what it should be expected. 

Working visa's were suspended for Filipinos back in 2012. Only Filipino's with current working permits are allowed to renew.. How do I know? A Filipino teacher works for us and you can see the news online.
